We've been Trumped.

I couldn't do it.  I never wanted to watch the "debate".  I instinctively knew it was going to be a colossal farce.  I have however looked at the highlights.

Honestly, I hope Trump goes through with it and runs as an independent.  If it's true that Bill Clinton encouraged him to run, he's even smarter than we all thought.  It was clear most of the other candidates threw up in their mouths just a little bit when he said that, for good reason.

Let's just imagine in this bazaar-o-world we're living in, that not only does Trump continue to run, but that he keeps his polling numbers up.

Now, imagine you're a strategist for someone like Jed Bush.  Not only do you have to fend off attacks from some Democratic nominee (like Sanders or Clinton) but you've also got to fend off Trump.  Let's also not forget that likely they'll be other candidates who when they don't get the nomination will likely not play nice as well.

Where you find yourself is squeezed in the middle.  You can't espouse the views of Trump because that would alienate the voting block that's conservative, but not crazy.  You can't espouse the views of someone like Clinton whose taken very centrist positions on things because even sounding remotely like Clinton is political seppuku.

I wish I was a fly on the wall in the RNC I'd love to see all the hand wringing.

Who knows, maybe I'm completely wrong.  Maybe the strategy is to make Trump look so crazy that all the other republicans by comparison seem moderate... who knows.

Though as far as I can tell, he's running around the circus tent throwing matches and yelling.

We're all on the outside just watching the tent catch fire and waiting for the elephants to start trampling everybody in sight.

In the end this is going to the some ugly fucked up shit.  Hopefully the insanity of it all we encourage the overturning of people united.  What I'm really hoping for is that *something* positive comes out of menagerie.
